I just read this on the news website ---- very disturbing ---- seems like the Career Center higher-ups have no clue or respect as to how to handle matters that occur!!

Not knowing what in particular happened at the meeting last night, if there were concerns, then why weren't they handled way before school started this morning? I am sure Mr. Jefferson is frustrated with the dlilemma t hat faces his teaching hours, etc -- it is his livelihood!

And how interesting that Ms. Pachmeyer was not around today to handle this --- and why should it even had been handled this way when school was in session? Great example to teach the kids that have suppprted Jefferson in all this mess that has been ongoing!

I am sure we will never hear the correct side of this --- too much has not been shared by the Career Center board on this matter already!!!! Seems like the board and administration needs to be investigated as to their tactics in all of t his!!!!

I agree. It took public pressure to reinstate what seems to be a wonderful teacher, and I'm sure the Board resented it. My first instinct is that they are using any excuse they can to do what THEY want to do, and to hell with the best interests of the community.

Yep....an investigation is warranted.

That is the next stimulus plan...government workers suing government agencies...funding for the government courts...all paid for by non=-government workers.

No shock here. Suppressing speech is common in MV ville. Curious...just how many administrators, board members, principals and others are really necessary to "run" the career center? Oops...hope they don't hunt me down. What a joke. Maybe some heavy hitter will come in and shake things up. Small town politics for small minds. Wow.

This is EXACTLY why the community must come together and fight tax increases, be them "extensions" or new.

They lie to all of us when they say "it's about the children". it is not from their perspective.

Say no to all new taxes, all extensions of taxes, and anyone who supports taxes...no, no, no

No more crack for the crack heads.

This Should Not End Well. This board and Super is making a huge mistake and ruining this community! I had Mr J. and i give him totally credit for the career i have today! He is the reason i am employed where i am today and through his guidance in teaching me a skill and a good work ethic i've been here for over 10 years and have ultimately climbed my way up the ladder! I did not take what he said at the board meeting as a threat! He was sticking up for his livelyhood and for the STUDENTS! He cares about every student in that place. We as a community and as former students and current students and their parents need to stick up for whats right. He would do it for each and everyone of us! We need to ask for the resignation of every board member and Bernie Pachmyer before they ruin this school and this community! She already ran one school in the ground lets not let her do it again!!!! This is totally ridiculous! They are trying to set him up. They either have or were going to give him the oppurtunity to teach the junoirs of this year next year so they can finish out the program the only catch is he has to do it for half his pay and no benefits!!!! This man has to pay his bills just like each and every one of us. So if he doesn't do this they will say well see he doesn't care about the kids! that is Bull!!!! I wouldn't blame him a bit if he didn't take that ridiculous offer! I hope the board and Bernie GO DOWN!!!!! Might as well take Kirk with them! He's worthless too!!!

if Mr. Jefferson decides to sue he will win and he should win. he is being railroaded and i support Mr. Jefferson 1000%. if it weren't for him i would not be the person i am today and i would not have the job i have had for 9 years and it is the only job i have ever had. i got hired during my senior year in high school thanks to Mr. Jefferson pushing me and teaching me the skills i needed and being a great mentor. if he is fired i predict picket lines in front of the career center. the only outcome i will accept out of this situation is Mr. Jefferson being reinstated to run the drafting program for as long as he wishes to continue teaching and the resignation or firing of every board member and superintendent.

run this through KP AutoArgument 3000 and have it take a look at it.

actually, this thread is about the actions on the part of the school administration, and I see absolutely no mention of party politics in here whatsoever.

whiner
